Open air photo booth, what is that?
Good question, glad you asked! An open air photo booth is like a portable photo studio, complete with a professional DSLR camera, professional studio lighting and a studio backdrop or interesting wall. Unlike the traditional shopping centre style photo booths a stack of people can fit in each photo… more people = more fun!

Designed by a commercial photographer using professional lighting, everyone will have their best face forward. The high end gear helps things along too. Either way you can rest assured you’re getting the best photos on the market and we mean it, our photos give other booths a good whippin’.
Is the photo booth manned?
It sure is! We’re there to make sure everything runs smoothly, all you have to do it jump in front of the INSTABOX, tap the screen and have fun… leave the rest up to us.
What areas do you service?
We offer photo booths for hire in the greater New York area. We also cover New Jersey and Connecticut. We enjoy traveling, feel free to chat with us about your event, no matter where it may be, we can see if we can help.
Where can the booth be set up?
INSTABOX NYC photo booths are extremely portable, we can carry them in elevators, up stairs, anywhere really. The main issue is weather, so indoors or undercover is preferable just incase it’s raining or windy! Chat to us and we can help suggest the best option for your event. We require an area of approx 8×8 feet for the camera, lighting, backdrop, prop table etc along with access to one 10 amp (regular) power point.
Do you provide props?
Most certainly! We have more props than your guests can shake a moustache on a stick at.
Is set up and pack down included in my time?
Nope. If you book us for three hours you get three hours of shooting time. We generally set up before guests arrive and pack down at an equally appropriate time.
Do we get the digital files?
Most certainly! You will receive high resolution, fully edited print ready files. Instabox classic use a high megapixel full frame DSLR camera, so you can do fantastic enlargements of your favourite photographs. We post all your images to a password protected online gallery, so you and your guests can download them whenever the urge takes you!
How long do you need to set up?
Setting up the INSTABOX is quick and easy and we can be ready to shoot in minutes. But we usually arrive an hour early just to be safe.

Can we personalize our prints with a banner?
Sure. As a complimentary service, we’ll work with you to design a cool banner with your names and event date.
What’s the scrapbook keepsake package?
To make your take-home goodies a little more special, the “scrapbook keepsake” package contains everything it takes for your guests to create a custom-designed scrapbook album—just for you. It includes a customized scrapbook backdrop (themes and colors), a double set of prints (one for the guest, one for your scrapbook) and a scrapbook station with supplies (paper, good markers, stickers, scissors, double-sided tape) for your guests to add their photos and comments. Brides love scrapbooks as a fun alternative to conventional guestbooks!
How early do I need to reserve a booth?
We book just one event per day per equipment—Although we have more than one booth, the earlier you book, the better! Email us your dates to learn more!
I’m ready to reserve! What should I do?
Just fill our contact form ==> here <==. If your date is still available, we will email you a rental agreement, along with deposit instructions.
How much is the deposit?
A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your date exclusively.
Are you insured?
Yes, INSTABOX works under Francophotos Studio and is fully insured. Proof of insurance for venues is available upon request.
